The INACRAFT October 2026 Vol. 5-Youthpreneurs craft exhibition will be held again on 7–11 October 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Jakarta. Carrying the theme “Youthpreneur Technocraft”, the exhibition promotes the integration of Indonesia’s rich craft heritage, technology, innovation, and the creativity of the younger generation.
Organized by the Association of Indonesian Handicraft Exporters and Producers (ASEPHI), this year’s INACRAFT positions technology as one of the drivers of transformation in the craft industry, from production processes, design, and material development to marketing and expanding market access.
“Technology is not intended to replace artisans, but rather to strengthen production processes, design, material development, marketing, and access to international markets,” said Muchsin Ridjan, General Chairperson of ASEPHI.
The application of technology is introduced through several innovations, including the use of palm oil waste as a material for batik wax, the modernization of weaving processes, and the development of ceramic and wood processing.
To strengthen research and innovation, ASEPHI is collaborating with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Indonesian National Movement for Competence (GNIK), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI), and several other educational institutions.
INACRAFT October 2026 also serves as a meeting place for business actors, buyers, distributors, and business partners. Supporting programs include insight forums, workshops, technology and research programs, and business matching with prospective partners from the ASEAN region.
Based on the technical meeting on 23 September 2026, around 790 participants are scheduled to fill the exhibition area, consisting of business actors, local governments, state-owned enterprises, and regionally owned enterprises.
In addition to craft products such as batik, woven textiles, jewelry, accessories, home décor, and lifestyle products, visitors can also enjoy TALAM, a Nusantara culinary area in Hall B and the Mezzanine of JICC.
The organizers are also providing Wayfinder, a digital navigation guide to help visitors find booths, participants, and facilities inside the venue.
INACRAFT October Vol. 5 will take place over five days, from 10:00–21:00 WIB, with admission tickets starting at Rp35,000. The exhibition is a moment to demonstrate that Indonesian crafts can continue to develop as modern and innovative products without losing their cultural identity. (Risma)
