Tuta Films has released the official trailer and poster for the horror-mystery film “Hasut,” the directorial debut of Ilya Sigma. Starring Karina Salim, Rachel Amanda, Marthino Lio, and Kevin Ardilova, the film offers terror that does not rely on apparitions, but rather on supernatural voices that gradually disrupt the relationship between four friends.

The trailer shows four characters traveling into the middle of a forest for a healing journey. However, the initially peaceful atmosphere turns ominous when mysterious voices begin to emerge and incite them to suspect and even hurt one another.

The forest is an important element in Hasut. Instead of presenting horror through jumpscares and the appearance of entities, the film builds fear through auditory power and psychological pressure.

Writer and director Ilya Sigma said the concept is one of the elements that distinguishes Hasut from horror films in general.

“The film Hasut will present a unique horror concept because many of the scenes take place during the day, with a forest setting, and a mystery atmosphere built through voices that emerge, rather than entities like those in most horror films today,” Ilya said at XXI Senayan City, Jakarta, Thursday (10/9/2026).

The film, produced by Putrama Tuta and Siera Tamihardja, with Nick Musa as co-producer, explores wounds and trauma through the journey of four friends.

Karina Salim plays Vira, a healer who invites her younger sister, Rere (Rachel Amanda), along with two of their friends to perform a healing ritual in the forest. The journey instead brings them face to face with various old wounds and conflicts that have remained hidden.

Siera Tamihardja said the forest in the film also serves as a symbol of the subconscious that stores various human wounds.

“The forest setting also serves as a symbol of the subconscious that stores all our wounds, which we inevitably have to face even though they terrorize our hearts and minds,” Siera said.

Karina considers the film to offer not only tension, but also to invite viewers to reflect on themselves, particularly on how a person can be influenced by or even influence others.

Meanwhile, Rachel Amanda appears with a different character as Rere, an emotional figure carrying issues from the past. She also underwent several physically demanding scenes during filming, including scenes in which she rolled around and was tied to a tree.

The story of Hasut centers on four people who hope to find peace through a healing ritual. However, the inciting voices that emerge in the middle of the forest gradually erode their trust. Fear, old wounds, and suspicion make it difficult for them to distinguish reality from what appears in their minds.
