American singer, songwriter, and guitarist KG Crown is in Jakarta this September as part of his efforts to expand his international music career and introduce his music to Indonesian audiences.

KG (pronounced: kay-jay) Crown’s visit takes place ahead of the release of his debut single, “Shut Up I’m in Paris,” scheduled for November 2026. His second single will follow in early 2027.

During his time in Indonesia, KG will meet with local media, musicians, and creators, while also building connections with the country’s music and creative communities. He will also meet Indonesian fans, including those who have followed his music through the online Krowns community.

As a Fender Artist, KG introduces himself as a pop-rock artist and singer-songwriter, with guitar and live instrumental performance forming an important part of his musical identity. Since childhood, KG has played five instruments and made music with his siblings.

This background shaped his musical approach, which combines pop songwriting with a strong rock character on guitar, while placing musicianship and live performance at the center of his work.

“I have always loved the process of making music, from writing songs and deciding on the instruments to figuring out how everything can come together. That is an important part of why I see myself as a musician and songwriter,” said KG Crown during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

KG writes his own songs and is closely involved in the creative process of developing his music. For live performances, he prefers a full-band format featuring live guitar, bass, and drums.

KG is building his career as an independent artist with a vision that does not focus solely on his next music release. He wants to continue developing his catalog, strengthen his live performances, expand his international audience, and work with musicians and creative partners from various countries.

Indonesia is one of the first international markets to actively become part of KG’s efforts to develop his music career.

“I have already received support from people in Indonesia who follow my music online, so I am very happy to finally be able to come here and meet them,” KG said.

“I also want to learn more about the development of music and the creative community here, while exploring opportunities to collaborate,” he added.

The visit to Indonesia also gives KG an opportunity to directly learn about the development of music and the creative community in Jakarta, while developing ideas for future content and collaborations.

KG’s debut single, “Shut Up I’m in Paris,” began with KG writing the song and creating an initial demo using a laptop and guitar at home. He then connected with Haywood, who worked with KG to develop the production and create the song’s final version.

KG played the primary role in the songwriting process, including the melody and song structure. Meanwhile, Haywood brought his experience as a songwriter, producer, and musician to develop the song’s production.

“Haywood really understands the sound I want to create. I am happy to bring a song I initially made at home into the studio and develop it further with him,” he explained.

“Shut Up I’m in Paris” is scheduled for release in November 2026 and will be the first release in KG’s latest musical series. His second single will follow in early 2027.

The two releases will introduce the sound and songwriting direction KG is developing as a solo artist. Other new music has also been prepared as he expands his catalog and builds an international audience.

KG is currently expanding his international audience, with Indonesia becoming one of the first markets to form part of his efforts to build a career through music, media, and creative collaboration. (Henry)
