TransNusa is expanding its international network by opening a direct Melbourne–Bali (Denpasar) flight route, which will operate daily starting 19 October 2026.

Ticket sales for the route opened on 15 September 2026.

Alongside the launch, TransNusa is also introducing Premium Plus, a new service offering comfort and priority facilities at a price below business class.

TransNusa Group CEO Datuk Bernard Francis said the Melbourne–Bali route is part of the international expansion strategy while also strengthening Bali as a gateway for travel between Australia and Asia.

“The launch of the Melbourne–Bali route is a major step in TransNusa’s international expansion strategy. This new route marks an important milestone in TransNusa’s international growth, while also strengthening Bali’s position as a primary gateway between Australia and Asia,” Bernard said.

For introductory fares, Basic class tickets start at AUD299 or approximately Rp3,399 million, while Premium Plus service starts at AUD699 or approximately Rp9,099 million. Premium Plus is available for only 20 seats per flight, with priority facilities and additional baggage.

Flight 8B-18 departs from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, at 20.45 and arrives at Melbourne Airport at 05.40 the following day. Meanwhile, flight 8B-19 departs from Melbourne at 06.25 and arrives in Bali at 09.40.

In addition to direct flights, TransNusa offers the Beyond Bali concept, allowing Australian travelers to continue their journey from Bali to various destinations within TransNusa’s flight network.

Some of the destinations that can be reached include Wakatobi, Manado, Bima, and Lombok, as well as regional destinations such as Singapore, Phuket, and major cities in China, including Guangzhou.

According to Bernard, the concept provides multi-destination travel options for Australian travelers who want to explore Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region.

“Premium Plus bridges the gap between value and a premium experience, allowing passengers to enjoy greater comfort and hospitality with introductory fares starting at AUD699,” he said.

As a Premium Service Carrier, TransNusa also offers facilities such as baggage, drinking water, snacks, and more legroom on standard tickets.

Melbourne–Bali tickets are available through the official TransNusa website and other official travel booking platforms. (Henry)
