Yayasan Jantung Indonesia (YJI) has joined forces with three Indonesian designers, AMOTSYAMSURIMUDA, GLASHKA, and RINDA SALMUN, in a creative campaign titled “DETAK”. This collaboration is part of the series of events commemorating World Heart Day 2026, with the global tagline “Don’t Miss A Beat”.
Through the campaign, the world of fashion is combined with a heart health message and a humanitarian mission. The three designers present works dominated by the color red, representing the heart, courage, love, and hope.
A portion of the proceeds from this collaboration will be donated through YJI to help children with congenital heart disease from underprivileged families, including by supporting access to medical treatment in the form of surgical and non-surgical interventions.
YJI Chairperson Annisa Pohan Yudhoyono said the collaboration demonstrates that creativity can serve as a means of conveying health messages while encouraging social concern.
“This collaboration is proof that creativity can be a powerful medium for change. We are sending a very clear message: heart health is our shared responsibility,” said Annisa.
Three Health Messages in “DETAK”
The DETAK campaign carries three main narratives, namely PEDULI, KENALI, and JAGA, each translated by one designer.
PEDULI is represented by AMOTSYAMSURIMUDA through bold and contemporary silhouettes. The message encourages people to start taking care of their heart health by paying attention to risk factors such as smoking, hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes, and lack of physical activity.
KENALI is translated by GLASHKA through the JUMPA PERTAMA collection. This message reminds people to recognize signs of heart problems, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, cold sweats, and discomfort that may radiate to the arm or jaw.
Meanwhile, JAGA is represented by RINDA SALMUN through the Reconstructed | New Form collection. The message emphasizes the importance of a healthy diet, physical activity, and regular checks of blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
YJI Head of Communications Iwet Ramadhan said that heart health messages need to be delivered through an approach that is close to people’s daily lives.
Through DETAK, YJI hopes that the message “Don’t Miss A Beat” will not only serve as a reminder to maintain health, but also encourage people not to miss the opportunity to help children who need treatment for congenital heart disease. (Risma)
