Tokocrypto Welcomes New OJK Regulation, Encourages Stronger Digital Asset Governance

The Regulation of the Members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (PADK OJK) Number 3 of 2026 on the Organization of Digital Financial Asset Trading, Including Crypto Assets, officially came into force on 1 September 2026. The regulation governs the procedures and reporting standards that must be followed by digital financial asset trading providers, including crypto platforms.

As one of the licensed crypto asset platforms, Tokocrypto welcomes the enactment of PADK 3/2026. Tokocrypto CEO Calvin Kizana said the regulation is in line with efforts to strengthen the governance of the digital asset industry in Indonesia.

“Regulations such as PADK 3/2026 are important for us, not merely as an administrative obligation, but as a foundation for keeping the national crypto ecosystem healthy, accountable, and trusted,” Calvin said.

PADK 3/2026 constitutes a technical provision of POJK 27/2024, as amended through POJK 23/2025. The regulation also updates the reporting provisions that previously referred to SEOJK 20/2024.

Under the new provisions, providers are required to submit reports through an integrated electronic system. Periodic reports cover operational and financial aspects, as well as self-assessments of risk management. Providers are also required to submit incidental reports under certain conditions, including when technical disruptions affect operational activities.

The strengthening of governance is taking place amid the growth of the digital asset industry. OJK recorded that as of July 2026, there were 22.93 million digital financial asset trading accounts in Indonesia. The value of crypto asset transactions reached Rp20.52 trillion, while derivatives transactions were recorded at Rp3.41 trillion.

With this growth, licensing and compliance have become important considerations for the public when choosing a digital asset trading platform.

Tokocrypto said that stronger governance has become part of the company’s operations. The company holds ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 certifications, implements a layered security architecture with 24-hour monitoring, and uses two-factor and biometric verification for users.

Tokocrypto also publishes Proof of Reserves reports and is registered with and supervised by OJK. The company is also a board member of the Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia (ABI) and an active member of the Asosiasi Fintech Indonesia (AFTECH).

Calvin emphasized that compliance would continue to be adjusted in line with regulatory developments.

“Going forward, we will continue to adjust our internal systems and processes so that they are aligned with every provision established by OJK,” he said.

Tokocrypto reminded users that crypto asset trading carries high risks, including the potential for losses. Users are advised to understand the applicable risks and provisions before conducting transactions.
