Increased volcanic activity at Mount Anak Krakatau and the spread of volcanic ash affected flight operations, including at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) and Radin Inten II International Airport (TKG). TransNusa Airlines monitored the situation and adjusted its operations while prioritizing passenger safety and security.

On 6 September 2026, a number of TransNusa flights to and from CGK and TKG underwent adjustments, including delays and route diversions. These measures were taken to avoid areas potentially affected by volcanic ash, with reference to NOTAMs as well as information and guidance from aviation authorities.

TransNusa continues to coordinate with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, AirNav Indonesia, BMKG, and VAAC Darwin in monitoring developments. Decisions regarding delays, cancellations, and route diversions are made based on the latest airspace conditions and aviation safety regulations.
